Max Connections: Up to 4 AMS 2 Pro + 8 AMS HT simultaneously.
Multi-Color Printing:
As H2D is a dual-nozzle printer, the most extreme scenario allows connecting all AMS 2 Pro/HT to one nozzle while using an external spool for the other.
Max colors: 4 (AMS 2 Pro) × 4 + 8 (AMS HT) × 1 + 1 (external spool) = 25 colors.
Accessories:
Max Connections:
Up to 4 AMS 2 Pro or 4 AMS HT.
Note: AMS/AMS 2 Pro/AMS HT are treated as the same type in X1/P1 Series printers; the total connection limit is 4 units.
Multi-Color Printing: Up to 16 colors.
Accessories:
Requires a buffer (purchased separately).
For multiple AMS connections, an AMS Hub is needed (purchased separately).
Firmware Plan:
AMS 2 Pro is compatible with X1/P1 printers at launch for feeding filament.
In Q2, a firmware update will be released to enable the drying function of AMS 2 Pro and support AMS HT connection/drying.
Max Connections: Pending (under testing).
Accessories:
Firmware Plan: Compatibility firmware expected in Q3.
H2D + Single AMS 2 Pro:
Can be powered directly by the printer (no extra accessories).
H2D + Multiple AMS 2 Pro:
When using multiple units for drying at the same time, only 1 unit can use printer power, and others require dedicated power adapters (sold separately).

H2D Power Management:
If printing/feeding while drying, drying power is automatically reduced to prioritize printing.
Recommendation: Use the power adapter for optimal drying.
HMS Alert: "Printer-powered drying detected during printing/feeding. Use a power adapter for best drying effect."
AMS HT Power:
No matter what model of printer is connected, it always requires 220V external power (which comes with the machine) for drying.
X1/P1/A1 + AMS 2 Pro Drying:
Each AMS 2 Pro must use a power adapter for drying.
Communication Requirement:
AMS 2 Pro/HT must connect via the 6-pin cable during drying (no offline mode).
AMS 2 Pro Drying While Printing Limits:
Unsupported Scenarios:
AMS 2 Pro is currently in use for printing.
AMS 2 Pro has filaments with the auto-refill relationship (even if it's idle for now).
Supported Scenarios:
AMS HT Drying While Printing:
Supported via firmware update (expected Q2 2025).
Note: Drying softens the filament; reliability testing is ongoing to optimize parameters.
Max Connections:
Up to 4 AMS or 4 AMS + 8 AMS HT.
Note: AMS/AMS 2 Pro share a 4-unit limit; AMS HT has a separate 8-unit limit.
Accessories: Built-in buffer, no extra purchase needed; PTFE Adapter needed for ≥3 AMS.
Firmware: Ensure the printer firmware is updated (new machines will receive firmware push after connecting to the network).
Max Connections: Up to 4 AMS (shared limit with AMS 2 Pro/HT).
Accessories: Buffer (included) or AMS Hub (for multiple AMS, purchased separately).
Not compatible.
Exclusive to A1 series printers. Each A1 Series printer can only connect to 1 AMS lite, no plans for other printer models.
