¶ Issue Description
The upper cover glass/acrylic panel has two magnets installed. Two Hall sensors are mounted on the top of the printer. As shown in the figure below:
- Hall Sensor (Front Right) is located near the front door on the right side.
- Hall Sensor (Rear Left) is positioned farther from the front door, toward the left side of the printer.
The Hall sensors detect the magnets to determine whether the top cover is properly closed. If the Hall sensor's cable becomes loose, this alarm will be triggered.
The possible causes of this fault include:
- Loose connection between the Hall sensor wire and the Hall board;
- Loose connection between the Hall sensor wire and the MC board;
- Broken wire connection.

Users may adjust the order of these solutions as needed.
¶ Step 1. Remove the Top Cover Panel
¶ Step 2. Peel Open the Foam Padding
- Both Hall sensor boards for the top cover glass are located beneath the foam. Carefully peel back the edge of the foam (avoid damaging the foam) to expose the Hall sensor boards.
¶ Step 3. Inspect the Hall Sensor Board and Wiring
- Use an H1.5 hex key to remove one securing screw, then gently pry up the Hall sensor board with the hex key.
- Reconnect any loose wiring harness connectors.
- If reconnecting the connector does not resolve the issue, the wiring harness may be damaged or the connection to the MC board may be loose. Please contact customer support for further troubleshooting.
