Functionality: The assist motor, located in the filament hub, is responsible for transporting filament to the toolhead for printing and feeding filament into the buffer during the printing process, ensuring coordinated operation with the printer. This error occurs when the three-phase resistance of the assist motor exceeds the acceptable range, suggesting a potential open circuit in the motor’s winding coils.

Detection Principle: During startup, the three-phase resistance values of the assist motor are measured. If they fall outside the expected range, the error is triggered.

Impact: The assist motor fails to operate, remaining in a free-rotating state. The AMS cannot read RFID tags, feed filament, or assist in printing.

¶ Fault Isolation Process
- Refer to the AMS 2 Pro disassembly video, loosen the two screws securing the AMS main frame, and lift the frame.
- Reconnect both ends of the FPC cable of the filament hub assist motor, then restart the AMS to check if the fault is resolved.

If the issue persists, replace the filament hub assist motor first.

If the issue persists, it may indicate an abnormality in the current sensor on the AMS mainboard, necessitating the replacement of the AMS mainboard.
