¶ Issue Description

Functionality: The feeder unit contains a DC motor, which drives the loading and unloading arms to rotate the spool for unloading and absorb the filament for loading. This error reports the abnormal condition where the DC motor has voltage but no current and thus cannot rotate normally.

Principle: If voltage is detected without current for a continuous 200ms, the DC motor is judged to be unresponsive.

Impact: The feeder unit will not respond when inserting the filament, failing to load the filament or read the RFID. During the unloading, the spool rotation synchronization will be abnormal, preventing the spool from rotating properly. This causes the filament to fail to retract neatly into the spool, leading to tangling. An HMS alert will be triggered.

Refer to the AMS 2 Pro disassembly video, first loosen the two screws securing the AMS main frame, and lift the main frame of the AMS 2 Pro.

Check if the FPC of the feeder unit in the corresponding slot has come loose, and reconnect it to the mainboard.

If the issue persists, remove the feeder unit of the corresponding slot, reconnect the cables on the assembly, and try again.

If the issue remains unresolved, it is likely a fault with the feeder unit motor. Try swapping the feeder units of two slots. If the error shifts to the other slot, it confirms that the feeder unit is faulty and needs replacement.
