¶ Issue Description

Functionality: The filament sensor is located in the AMS feeder unit and is used to detect whether the filament has been inserted into the nozzle. This error indicates that the hall sensor in the feeder unit is disconnected and cannot properly detect whether the filament is inserted.

Detection Principle: Under normal conditions, the voltage of the filament sensor remains within a specific range. When the sensor is disconnected, the voltage will rise to 3.3V.

Impact: The system cannot recognize the insertion of the filament into the nozzle, resulting in the inability to properly absorb the filament, read the RFID, or feed the filament. The inserted filament will not be visible on the printer screen, and an HMS alert will be displayed.

Refer to the AMS 2 Pro disassembly video, first loosen the two screws securing the AMS main frame, and lift the main frame of the AMS 2 Pro.

Check if the feeder unit FPC is properly connected, and reconnect it.

If the issue persists, remove the feeder unit and reconnect both ends of the hall sensor cable, as shown in the image below

If the problem remains unresolved, it may be due to a faulty hall sensor in the feeder unit, requiring replacement of the feeder funnel unit.
