Function: The feeder motor is located in each feeder unit of the AMS and AMS2 Pro. Its main function is to feed filament into the internal hub unit during the feeding stage and rotate the spool to retract filament during the retraction stage.
Phenomenon: "Feeder motor no signal" means that after voltage is applied to the feeder motor, no current is detected, the motor does not respond normally to control signals, and cannot rotate and operate properly. It can be observed that during the feeding and retraction processes, the feeder motor fails to rotate normally.
Remove the filament from the feed port and reinsert it to slightly rotate the motor. Then click the retry button to attempt to restore motor rotation. If it recovers, you can continue using it. If this problem occurs frequently, the feeder unit needs to be replaced.
Refer to the AMS 2 Pro disassembly video. First, loosen the two screws securing the AMS main frame and lift the AMS 2 Pro main frame.
