¶ Issue Description
The filament sensor is located in the feeder unit and internal hub unit of the AMS and AMS 2 Pro, as well as in the coupler of the AMS-HT. Its primary function is to detect whether there is filament inside the tube.
An abnormal filament sensor signal indicates that the detected filament position is incorrect. For example:
- When slot [X] is preparing to load, filament is unexpectedly detected in the internal hub unit of slot [X].
- When slot [X] is preparing to load, filament is detected in the internal hub unit of slot [Y] instead.
Phenomenon: Loading failed, HMS reports that the filament sensor status is abnormal.
¶ Troubleshooting
¶ Step 1. Check if there are multiple filaments entering the internal hub unit
You can manually turn the spool corresponding to the error slot, return the filament to the spool, and then reinsert the feeder unit. Continue the task. If the error still occurs, try step 2.
¶ Step 2. Check if there is any filament end in the tube

Loosen the tube between the feeder unit and the internal hub unit, and remove it if there is any broken filament.

You can also disconnect the tube at the internal hub unit, insert a piece of filament into the internal hub unit, and push it in hard until the broken filament is pushed out smoothly.

¶ Step 3. Replace the internal hub unit
