¶ Fault Description
The assist motor is used in AMS, AMS2-Pro, and AMS-HT. At its end is an extruder wheel that drives the filament. It feeds or retracts filament during material changes and helps during printing. If the assist motor slips, the wheel can't grip the filament. This causes a loss of control and may lead to loading or unloading failure. After removing the filament, you may see a worn pit near the wheel, showing slippage.

Pull the filament out of the tube and AMS, locate the position of the slipped pit, cut off this section of the filament, and reinsert the filament for printing.

Check if there is excessive resistance along the entire path from AMS to the printer.
The path from AMS to the printer should be as short and straight as possible. Avoid using excessively long tubes or paths with multiple bends or kinks. -
Check the rotation resistance of the filament spool.
Manually rotate the spool to ensure it turns smoothly, avoiding any tilting.

Check if the filament is tangled or knotted.

Check if the filament is too hard, too soft, or has an excessively thin diameter.
Filaments that are too hard or soft are prone to slipping. The standard filament diameter is 1.75 ± 0.03mm. Filaments that are too thin can also lead to slipping. It is recommended to use official filaments.
