This guidline helps you better understand the details of how MakerWorld is planning to implement our AIGC labeling system and other rules regarding our AI Policy.
¶ AIGC Labeling
Creator Labeling:
To ensure transparency for users printing models on MakerWorld, we ask creators to manually tag models that are primarily or entirely AI-generated as "AIGC". This helps users set appropriate expectations when printing such models. Incorrect labeling may lead to lower visibility or removal of the design.
When uploading your models, there will be an "AI-Generated Content" Section under Model Information. Make the selection accordingly.
Platform Labeling:
An automated system will also apply labels to content identified as fully or substantially AI-generated (e.g., models made with MakerLab tools). If detected, the "AIGC" label will be added automatically.
¶ No AI-generated model images
We strongly recommend using real photos of printed models to provide our users with an accurate representation of the final product. AI-generated images will not be allowed to be used as model images. If you would like to use AI-generated images for illustrated purposes, add them to the model descriptions rather than use them directly as model images.
¶ Infringement Strictly Forbiddened
MakerWorld strictly forbids the unauthorized replication or remixing of existing models. For AI-generated content, this includes any models based on proprietary designs, images, or works. Violations will result in content removal and potential account restrictions.
¶ Reporting Unlabeled AI-Generated Content
We welcome our users to help us report unlabeled AI-generated models on MakerWorld. If you suspect this model was created using AI but isn't properly labeled, you can help us by reporting it to us under 'Model Report' using 'Unlabeled AIGC' after June 29th, 2025.
