Welcome to MakerWorld's Exclusive Model program!
This guideline will help you understand the standards, expectations, and procedures required to maintain the quality and integrity of our Exclusive Models. Whether you're a seasoned creator or new to the MakerWorld community, this document aims to guide you through the process of designing, submitting, and optimizing Exclusive Models.
Before submitting your models to our Exclusive Program, please ensure that your models have been removed from all other platforms and are Exclusively available on MakerWorld.
Creators need to fulfill one requirement: Accumulated Print exceed 100 on MakerWorld. The picture below shows where you can find your accumulated print. If this number is ≥100, you will be eligible to upload Exclusive Models.
We expect our Exclusive Models to meet the following design standards to ensure exceptional quality.
Focuses on the originality of the concepts and designs of the model.
Advanced models like the Mechanical Card Shuffler, a self-designed FPV Cruiser or an innovative project such as this intricate Lunar Vehicle are the type of models with the best chance of thriving and becoming popular in the Exclusive Model program.
Simple models like a remix of an articulated dragon model, or a simple phone case with no standout features are more likely not to be welcomed in the program.
Here are some hints for choosing your design concept and ideas for your Exclusive Model submission!
Keep an eye on trending topics, events, public figures, and festivals.
Look for popular genres that currently have few or no existing models on MakerWorld.
Identify designs that are commonly used in everyday life but are missing 3D models.
Better yet, create something you think is truly amazing and yet can't find any related models on any 3D modeling websites!
The Inspiration Page in our Creator Center provides the most searched models in our community, which can also fuel your inspiration pool!
Where to access:
Models should demonstrate a high level of detail and precision in design. AI generated content, Hueforges and 2D models will be removed from the program. Coasters, signs and keychains using existing logos or signs will be removed from the program.
Structurally sophisticated models are more likely to become popular and receive increased exposure on MakerWorld.
The original model designer must include a Print Profile that achieves optimal print quality. List recommended filaments, colors, and print settings.
A clear and comprehensive Assembly Guide is suggested for all multi-part models.
For models designed to perform specific functions, it is important to explain how they work and how they can benefit users.
Your model should solve specific problems and provide assistance to users. Explain why your design is necessary and how it helps in your model description.
Videos or GIF instructions are highly recommended to demonstrate the practicality of your model.
For models focusing on aesthetics and entertainment, showcase your model in its ideal setting and demonstrate its true value.
Tell a compelling story. Share the inspiration behind your designs and explain why this particular model will bring joy and satisfaction once printed.
Whether the model is a toy, gadget, sculpture, or decorative ornament, show your target audience where your model fits best.
Follow these steps to submit your model as an Exclusive Model:
