If you intend to enclose the P1P for printing higher temperature materials, please ensure that the preparation, modification, and testing align with the specified requirements. Failure to comply may lead to printer malfunction, skipped steps, or other unforeseen issues.
Important
We highly discourage the printing of high-temperature filaments in an enclosed P1P printer without installing an MC Fan. It is recommended to consult the installation guide provided with the official upgrade kit to properly set up the enclosure.
When enclosing the P1P, it is essential to install an MC fan to ensure proper cooling for the stepper drivers and board. The P1P was designed to operate without complete enclosure, as the heatsink of the MC board can function without a fan when the printer is not enclosed.
However, when the P1P is enclosed, the heatsink's heat dissipation may be compromised, potentially leading to overheating. To prevent this, it is necessary to reinstall and turn on the control board fan.
- M710 A1 S255:turn on the automatic control of the MC fan,the MC fan will automatically turn on when the stepper motor is turned on and turn off when the stepper motor is turned off;
- M710 S0:turn off the MC fan.5
The installation position of the fan is shown in the figure below, and it is recommended to apply structural adhesive on the upper and lower edges for attachment.

If you want to install a cable chain to your P1P, please watch the video guide and read the following reminders:
1. It is not recommended to directly install a cable chain on P1P printers. If you still want to install a cable chain, it is necessary to purchase a new version of the tool head cable simultaneously.
2. To prevent step loss caused by insufficient tube length, it is recommended to replace the 530mm PTFE tube with a 550mm one.
Upon completing the enclosure, it is recommended to use a cool plate for printing. This helps prevent frequent issues such as extruder jamming or nozzle clogs caused by heat creep. This precaution is particularly crucial when working with PLA, as heat creep in the hotend can easily occur if the printer is fully enclosed without a Chamber Fan.
Similar issues may arise when working with other filaments like TPU, PETG, or materials with a lower glass transition temperature.
Using the Cool Plate allows for printing without the need to set the heatbed temperature too high, thereby reducing the risk of nozzle clogs and extruder issues.
If there is a need to consistently print materials at lower temperatures while maintaining high bed temperatures, it is recommended to print the provided air duct model. Installing a temperature regulator fan through this model will help exhaust warm air from the enclosure, ensuring a manageable temperature inside.

Due to the size difference in the front cover, the glass front door designed for the X1 series is not compatible with the P1P. Installing the X1 series glass front door on the P1P will result in a significant gap with the front cover. Please stay informed about the updated information on our related accessories.
To ensure printing quality, if you decide to create an enclosure, it is highly recommended to follow the procedures outlined in the official upgrade kit for preparation, modification, and testing. This will help you understand and address any potential issues that may arise.
