The Hotend is installed on the toolhead and is used for extruding filament. For the H2D printer, we provide hotend with diameters of 0.2 mm, 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.8 mm, allowing you to choose according to your needs.
The Hotend Silicone Sock is installed outside the Hotend, to ensure the stability of the nozzle temperature.

IMPORTANT!
Always power off and disconnect power on the printer before performing maintenance work. Not doing so means there is a risk of electric shock, short circuit, and damage to the printer or surrounding area.
When a maintenance task necessitates the printer being powered on, use insulated gloves for safety and pay special care not to pinch, damage, or put pressure on any exposed wires, connectors, or circuit boards. Additionally, the nozzle can be extremely hot so never touch it with exposed skin.
If you have any questions or concerns related to the above or the steps in this guide, please open a new ticket in our Support Page for assistance.
Open the Toolhead Front Cover Assembly and hang it to the Toolhead.
Hold both sides of the Silicone Sock for hotend, then pull it diagonally downward with force to remove it.
Unlock the hotend clip – release the right-side first.
Then release the metal plate on the left.
Hold the upper and lower ends of the heatsink (avoid from high temperatures), then remove the Hotend.
If the Hotend is hard to remove, you may heat the Hotend appropriately.
Ensure the Hotend clip is fully open, then install the Hotend onto the Heating Assembly.
Verify full contact between the Hotend and the Heating Assembly, then secure the clip (first close the left metal plate, then press the right ring into place).
Install the Hotend Silicone Sock onto the Hotend from bottom to top.
The Toolhead Front Cover Assembly is magnetically secured – simply close it into place.
