We have recently chosen Arachne as the default wall generator to provide a better printing experience. But there might be cases where Arachne might not perform as well as the Classic option.
In this wiki, we list some common situations where switching back to the Classic option may be better. The option can be changed in the “Quality → Wall generator” menu from Bambu Studio (as shown below).
¶ Situations where switching back to the Classic wall generator might help.
¶ 1. When the Arachne generator produces an unsatisfying seam.
In some situations, the automatic seam position can be better when the Classic option is used.
¶ 2. When the Arachne generator generates perimeters floating in the air.
The Arachne slicing generator might generate floating pieces in print, while such an issue doesn't exist with the Classic generator.
¶ 3. When the sliced model has clear flaws with the Arachne generator.
There is no such flaw when slicing with the Classic generator.
¶ 4. When the model has an uneven surface
When you get uneven surfaces when slicing, the Classic generator might be a better choice.
