When using Bambu Studio to send print files, various factors may cause the file to fail to send. Please follow the steps below for troubleshooting.
Abnormal storage media write behavior, low write speed, or insufficient storage space may also affect FTP transmission, leading to file sending failure.
- Testing Method:
- Use a third-party tool to check the storage media's write speed. On a Windows system, run the following command in the command prompt (replace the drive letter with the actual storage media letter):
winsat disk -drive d
- Verify that the storage media has enough free space, due to insufficient space can cause transmission failure.
- Troubleshooting:
- If the test shows that the storage media cannot write or its write speed is too low, try replacing, formatting, or updating the storage media, then retry.
- If the storage media lacks sufficient space, manually delete files or format it, then try again.
- If the storage media appears to be functioning normally but the problem still persists, proceed to the next troubleshooting step.
Bambu Studio’s file sending function relies on a local network connection. Please ensure that your computer and printer are on the same network.
- Steps:
- Use the cmd command tool to execute the ping command and verify whether the printer's IP address is reachable.
- The printer's IP address can be obtained from the device's screen:
- P Series:
- Note:
- If the ping command shows high latency or fails to connect, please review your network settings and try again.
- If the ping is successful with low latency, proceed to the next troubleshooting step.
File sending failure may also occur if the device’s FTP server port is occupied, preventing the establishment of an FTP connection.
- Steps:
- Use a third-party FTP client (e.g., FileZilla) to test the connection.
- In the FTP client, enter the following details:
- Host: Printer IP address (refer to the diagram in the “Check Local Network Connection” section)
- Username:
bblp
- Password: Printer’s Access Code (viewable in LAN mode on the printer)
- Port:
990
- Attempt to connect and upload a file larger than 1KB to test the upload functionality.
- Troubleshooting:
- If you cannot connect or the upload fails, restart the printer and try again.
- If the issue persists, submit a ticket and provide the printer and Studio logs for further investigation.
- If the FTP connection and upload are successful, but Studio still cannot send the file, submit a ticket with the printer and Studio logs to help further diagnose the issue.
