Cable Chain Assembly
¶ When to use
1. The Cable Chain Assembly is often loose or damaged;
2. The AP board cover is damaged.
¶ Tools and materials required
- New cable chain
- H1.5 Allen key
¶ Safety warning and Machine state before starting operation
Please follow these guide steps carefully in order to perform the replacement. Make sure the machine is powered OFF before commencing any disassembly and assembly.
¶ Operational Video
¶ Only replace the cable chain part
1. Remove the glass cover plate and disconnect the chain from the cover;
2. Loosen the USB cable, pull out the cable bracket, and remove the old cable chain;
3. Mount the cable bracket and press the USB cable into the chain;
4. Connect the chain to the AP board cover, buckle the material tube, and place back the glass cover plate.
¶ Replace the complete cable chain
1. Remove the glass cover plate, remove 1 screw with the H1.5 Allen key, and take out the AP board cover;
2. Loosen the USB cable, pull out the cable bracket, and remove the old cable chain;
3. Mount the cable bracket and press the USB cable into the chain;
4. Align the installation notch of the AP board cover, install the AP board cover in place, buckle the PTFE tube;
5. Lock in 1 screw to fix the AP board cover, and then place back the glass cover plate.
Note: If the cable chain against the X-axis carbon rods, you can adjust the length of the USB cable and store the excess part in the cable chain cover.
