The first stage feeder, as the name suggests, it is a device that provides the first stage driving force for the AMS to feed the filament, and there are four first stage feeders in one AMS.
Gears error or visible damage, the detection of the switch is unstable.

Turn printer power OFF and disconnect the connection with the printer.
Open the AMS cover, press the button on the filaments hub and pull out the PTFE tube.
Remove 2 screws.
Flip the middle frame upward, disconnect the bambu bus cable and the power cable,remove the middle frame module.
Remove the AMS Active Support Shaft Assembly.
Disconnect the cable from the main board, and the PTFE tube from the filaments hub. For example, if you want to replace the first stage feeder in slot 1, then you disconnect the correlative cable and tube.
According to the first stage feeder that you need to remove, unscrew the 4 fixing screws on its bottom, press on both side of the first stage feeder to remove it.
Disconnect the PTFE tube.
Connect the PTFE tube to the feeder.
(Note: The tube's length for the feeders in slot 1&4 is 230mm; for the feeders in slot 2&3 si 195mm ).
Pass the cable and PTFE through the hole on the middle frame, and install the first stage feeder to place, lock in 4 screws.
Connect the cable and the PTFE tube.
Connect the cable to the main board, and the PTFE tube to the filaments hub. For example, if you install the first stage feeder in slot 1, then you use the connectors marked with SLOT1.
Install the AMS driving sleeve unit.
Place the middle frame into the AMS shell, connect the bambu bus cable and the power cable.
Install the middle frame in place, lock in 2 screws.
Check the tube bracket, and insert the PTFE tube, try to pull it out to make sure that the tube is well connected.
Connect the AMS to printer and power on. Load filaments the slot you replace the first stage feeder to the AMS, click "Load" on the screen to start loading the filament.
And then click unload to unload the filament.
Repeat the loading process 3 times, if all function OK, the replacement is complete and success. Otherwise, check the connections of the cables and filament tubes, if no error found and still malfunction, contact the service team for solution advice.
