¶ What it is
HMS_0700-0100-0002-0002: The AMS assist motor is overloaded,The filament may be tangled or stuck.
During the printing process, the motor of the filament hub of AMS assists in feeding the filament to the printer, reducing the resistance of the tool head extruder to extrude the filament, and the motor will detect the resistance of the filament, when the resistance continues to be too large and the speed of filament is too small, it will prompt overload error. Then the filament will return to AMS and printing will be paused.
This error is usually caused by excessive resistance due to the following reasons:
- filament tangled or sagging and stuck
- the spool size exceeds AMS specifications or the cardboard spool is used
- the feed funnel of the first-stage feeder is seriously worn
- the roller support of the first-stage feeder was broken
- the spring of the AMS buffer is stuck
- the PTFE tube inside AMS is worn
- the PTFE tube between AMS and printer is overbending

¶ Operation guide
¶ Step 1
Please refer to this wiki to check if the spool used are within the AMS specifications, check if the width of the spool is between 50~68mm and the diameter is between 197~202mm; some spools may be deformed, please rotate the spool back and forth to check whether there is too much resistance at any position.
¶ Step 2
Check if the filament is tangled or sagged and stuck, and avoid using filaments that are not supported by AMS, such as TPU/damp PVA.

Check if the feed funnel of the first-stage feeder is seriously worn, If there is wear, please refer to the wiki for replacement.

Check if the spring of the AMS buffer or Hub is stuck:

Please refer to this wiki to disassemble AMS and check if the PTFE tube inside AMS is worn.

Check if the roller support is broken, and refer to this wiki to replace the main frame.
¶ Step 7
Check if the PTFE tube between AMS and printer is overbending.
¶ Step 8
Check whether the bearing of the AMS Active Support Shaft Assembly is too close to the black rubber, which leads to high resistance to rotation of the AMS Active Support Shaft Assembly. You can hold one end of the bearing and then rotate the rubber to see whether it is obvious to feel the resistance. You can also directly exchange the position with other AMS Active Support Shaft Assembly to see if the problem is transferred with the AMS Active Support Shaft Assembly.
