Functionality: The odometer is used to measure the length of the filament that has passed through the tube. This signal is essential during both the loading and printing processes. This section addresses the abnormal condition where the odometer is detected as disconnected.

Detection Principle: After the filament exits the filament hub hall, if no change in the odometer position signal is detected for an extended period, the odometer is judged to be disconnected.

Impact: A disconnected odometer will cause the AMS to fail in loading the filament. Specifically, after the filament is fed out of the filament hub hall for approximately 6 seconds, it will time out and retract the filament to try again. Multiple retries will fail.

Refer to the AMS 2 Pro disassembly video, first loosen the two screws securing the AMS main frame, and lift the main frame of the AMS 2 Pro.

Reconnect the cable from the filament hub odometer to the mainboard (as shown in the image below). If the issue persists, it may be a fault with the filament hub odometer, and the filament hub may need to be replaced.
