During the extruder switching process, the lifting motor drives the vertical movement of the left hotend and the switching of the flow blocker through a gearbox. Abnormal data from the hall sensor of the lifting motor can cause switching failure, which will pause the printing task until troubleshooting is completed.
Possible causes of this issue include:
Abnormal internal communication of the TH board.
Faulty TH board.
H2.0 Allen key
H1.5 Allen key
Tweezers
Users may adjust the order of these solutions as needed.
Click the screen to retry extruder switching or restart the printing task. If the error persists, proceed to Step 2.
Power off and restart the printer.
Go to the Nozzle & Extruder module on the screen, click on the left or right extruder, and check if the switching is normal.
If normal, troubleshooting ends.
If switching still fails, proceed to Step 3.
Refer to Steps 1 to 8 in the Wiki Disassemble the H2D toolhead for TH board replacement.
After replacing the TH board, perform toolhead switching calibration.
If the above solutions do not resolve the issue, submit a ticket and upload the printer’s log files.
