1. Optimized Chinese search experience
Improved word segmentation and added synonym matching to find more relevant models based on search terms
2. Print counts for STL and customized models
Printing the customized file (either STL or 3mf) from an OpenSCAD model or the STL file of a model will also increase the print count
3. Added "Customizable" and "Maker's Supply" filters
Easily find customizable models and models that use materials from Maker's Supply with the new "Customizable" and "Maker's Supply" filters
4. Interactive experience optimization
- When uploading models, only the upload of the web cover is mandatory, while the app cover and model image list are optional
- On the search results page, the search bar will be pinned to the top when the page scrolls, making it convenient for users to perform secondary searches
- Automatically recognize links in the comment area and support clicking to jump
- If you have agreed to the user agreement and privacy policy, the agreement page will not pop up again when you log in
- The download method (Open in Bambu Studio, Download 3mf or Download STL) you selected last time will be automatically recorded on the model page, so you don't need to select it every time

MakerWorld Release Note - 20240510
1. Enhanced Boost System Incentives
- Doubled Boost Token Distribution
Users will now receive twice the amount of Boost Tokens for their contributions. - Point Incentives for Boost Models
Users will get points rewards after boosting a model. Those who have already boosted models will receive retroactive incentives.
- Adjusted Boost-to-Point Exchange Rate
The exchange rate has been adjusted to 1:12. Designers who have already exchanged Boost Tokens will receive retroactive compensation for the difference.
2. Integration of Parametric Model Maker into model page
Previously, Parametric Model Maker was just a standalone tool in MakerLab. Since this update, users can customize models with OpenSCAD directly from the model page. When creators upload models with OpenSCAD scripts, scripts will be validated. Creators can preview the customization and make some tweaks in the previewer.
After the model is published, users can customize the model by clicking the Customize button:
Users can also manage the configuration history of each customized model:
Incentives: If a user downloads a STL or 3MF from customization view, it will be counted as one download if the user does not download the model before. Printing of customized models cannot be tracked yet.
3. Email Notification
Never miss a beat with our email notifications. Stay informed about all the activity happening around your content and engage with your community.
4. Upload Model Files to Specific Folders
Model files can now be uploaded to specific folders during the upload process.
5. Individualized Model Cover Uploads for Web and App
Designers can now upload separate cover images web (4:3) and app (4:3 or 3:4) of models. We also provide a tool to crop images to 4:3 or 3:4 for better presentation.
6. Reduced Captcha for Registered Users Registered users will encounter fewer Captchas. Repeated 3D previews or downloads of the same model will not trigger additional Captchas.
7. Added Contest Previews Hovering over the "Contest" tab in the header will display a preview of ongoing and upcoming contests. Future contest information is also available on the contest page.
8. Boost Received Notifications
Users will now receive notifications when they receive Boost Tokens.
9. Sorting by Boosts in Category and Search Results
Models can now be sorted by Boost count in category and search results pages.

MakerWorld Release Note - 20240417
¶ New Features
1. Brand New Incentive: Boost System
To enhance the incentive mechanism on MakerWorld, we're introducing the Boost System, which prioritizes model quality over mere popularity.
We will transfer some budget from the old "popularity-first" approach to the boosting system and make the overall budget stable. For creators, you may notice that at first, your income from the previous point system will decrease because we have transferred budget to the boost system and there is a natural delay between receiving the boost right and use it.
We expect a very frequent update of the rules of the boost system in the first two months because we need to fine tune the system based on what we learn in the real world.

2. Added Bill of Materials feature to the Edit Model page
Creators can add non-3D printed parts provided by Bambu Store's Maker's Supply section in the Bill of Materials. This supports retrieval methods such as fuzzy search, dropdown selection, and precise search by Product ID. It also facilitates browsing of detailed part information, quantity adjustment, and part sorting.

In our latest update, we introduced the "All" tab to help user searching. However, we have received valuable feedback from our community regarding the limitations of models displayed under the "All" tab, which affected browsing through model results. To address this, we have removed the "All" tab and redesigned the search bar layout. This change ensures better visibility of user results while still allowing access to view all model results.

4. Optimized model page design
In this version, we have optimized the model page. With the addition of more features, the right-side panel of the model page became cluttered and appeared complex. To address this, we have simplified the design, making the page cleaner and easier to navigate.
Additionally, we have reorganized the lower section of the model page to create a more structured layout. This allows for quicker access to relevant information, such as related models, ensuring users can find what they need more efficiently.

1. Homepage Refresh
The MakerWorld homepage is being redesigned to make it more visually appealing and efficient in displaying information.
2. MakerLab Update: Share Your Templates, Spark New Creations
Exciting news! We are updating Make My Sign and Make My Vase so that you will be able to embed the template file and all its assets directly into the 3MF file. This means that when you share your creations on MakerWorld, other users can directly import and personalize the template to craft their own unique designs.

3. Personal Content Recommendation
The recommendation algorithm was greatly enhanced to provide more relevant suggestions and will be gradually made available to all users in this week.
¶ Improvements
1. A search prediction feature was introduced to help you find what you need faster.
2. The search results page was optimized by adding an "All" tag, allowing you to see both users and models in your search results.
3. To enhance account security, we added the password changing feature and 2-Step authentication in Account Settings.
4. We implemented the ability to @mention someone and usernames in comments, replies for easier communication. Each user who is mentioned will receive a notification.
5. Personal page URLs are changed to use @username instead of user ID. This makes it clearer who the page belongs to when you share the link on social media.
6. Improved designer support by adding the possibility of adjusting the order of their print profiles
7. You can now delete pending items from your rating queue, useful if a print profile is no longer relevant or public.
8. Added the ability to paste pictures directly into private messages for richer communication.
9. Blocked some spams in private message.
10. Increased the print profile size limit to 200MB to accommodate larger and more complex designs.

2. Data Analytics Board

Track key metrics like views, downloads, prints, and collects. This analytics dashboard will be your valuable assistant in improving your models and enhancing user experience.

¶ Improvements
1. We have made comprehensive improvements to the search feature, optimizing the recall and sorting of search results. Key enhancements include:
1) Fuzzy search: Even with small typos, you can now obtain accurate search results
2) Improved ordering for "Relevance" sorting, ensuring better organization of search results
2. Providing a reason for low ratings is now mandatory. This enhancement allows print profile uploaders to gain insights into specific issues and devise appropriate solutions. Additionally, users now have the option to delete ratings that they deem unreasonable. For instance, if a user discovers that the print profile was not responsible for the failure, they can remove a previously assigned low rating.
3. Separate display for downloads and prints, rather than combining print counts with downloads. Previously, downloads = real downloads + 2 * success prints to help designers calculate Points Rewards. However, we received some feedback that it is a bit confusing to combine downloads and prints. To make it clearer, they are now displayed separately. It has no impact on your Points Rewards.

6. We have introduced additional strategies to manage the visibility of NSFW models. Users now have the option to hide NSFW models, ensuring that they are not accessible to children or inappropriate for certain audiences.
7. For improved app display, we have imposed limitations on certain aspects of rich text, such as text colors and text background colors, when uploading models or print profiles.
8. Added remix notification. Designers will be notified when someone creates a remix based on their models.
9. Enable designers to notify profile uploaders of any changes in the geometry data of a model.
10. Extended the limit for the number of collections to 200.
11. Updated personal page sorting: "Update Time" changed to "New Uploads" based on community feedback.
12. Introducing the new "Top" sorting option for Comments & Ratings. Now, comments and ratings with pictures and likes may be prioritized and sorted before others.

1. Designers can now recommend print profiles for their models.
The recommended print profiles will be ordered still below the designer's print profiles, but above others.
2. Support GIF and its loading performance. Model list pages (such as Home Page and 3D Models) just load still image for GIF file, which speed up the page loading.
When users hover the mouse on the GIF picture, it starts loading and playing.
¶ Improvements
1. The homepage banner has been redesigned to make it more compact and clearer
2. MakerReward: add download count deduplication to prevent splitting one model into multiple print profiles
If a designer uploads multiple print profiles for his/her model and a user downloads all of them, only the first download will be counted
3. Added a Print Profile Guide introducing what kind of print profiles tend to get popular
4. Added report types for print profile spam: Repeated uploading, No actual print image, Use other's actual print image
5. Prohibited self-ratings of print profiles
6. Auto-strip modified custom G-code in 3mf files when uploading
Some designers and makers modified custom G-code fields of 3mf due to some reason. Previously, this kind of 3mf file was blocked by MakerWorld. They have to reset these custom G-code fields of each 3mf file in Bambu Studio before re-uploading it. Now MakerWorld can auto-strip these modifications, with a tip telling the print profile uploader this strip action.

- Fixed the bug that users cannot enter a model page from the model page on their mobile phone's browser
- Fixed no red dot hint when there are unread messages
