¶ Issue Description
The AMS detects the state of the filament in the AMS filament hub unit through hall sensors. Reliable detection of the filament state is crucial for the AMS filament change function. Each slot of the AMS has a filament hall sensor at the entrance of the filament hub. If the connection between the filament hub hall sensor and the AMS mainboard is disconnected, this alarm will be triggered.
Principles of fault detection:
When the Hall sensor is normally connected, there is a reasonable voltage range. If the software detects that the voltage exceeds this range, it will indicate that the Hall sensor is offline. This function is implemented in hardware through a pull-up resistor. When the Hall sensor is offline, the voltage will be pulled up to 3.3V.
Symptoms:

This error appears on the printer after the AMS is powered on.

Filament loading or RFID reading fails. Each time the filament is fed into the tube, it times out after approximately 6 seconds and then retracts back to the AMS. Multiple retries fail.

Please refer to AMS 2 Pro Disassembly and Assembly Guide to remove the AMS main frame assembly. Loosen the two screws fixing the AMS main frame, and lift the main frame.

Check the Hall sensor FPC of the filament hub to see if it is detached or not inserted properly. Reconnect the filament hub Hall FPC.

Check if the filament sensor is damaged, moldy, rusted, or has components detached.

Please refer to step 1 and step 2 of AMS HT Disassembly and Assembly Guide to disassemble the AMS HT main frame.

Please refer to step 8 of the guide above to check if the feeder Hall sensor cable is disconnected or not properly inserted. If so, re-insert both ends of the cable to ensure it is securely connected to the feeder Hall sensor and the main board.
The positions of the cable’s two ends are shown in the images below. One is on the feeder Hall sensor board, and the other is on the main board, marked no.9.

If the error persists after re-plugging the cable, the sensor itself may be faulty and the feeder Hall sensor assembly needs to be replaced.
