¶ Fault Description
The air vent is controlled by an electromagnet, which opens or closes the vent by reversing the direction of the current. A built-in Hall sensor continuously monitors the position of the vent. Every time you start a drying cycle on AMS HT or AMS 2 Pro, the system automatically checks:
- Whether the vent moves correctly
- Whether the vent coil resistance is within the normal range (5–15 ohms)
If the detected resistance is too low, it may indicate a short circuit in the coil. This will trigger an error on the printer.
- Impact：
- The air vent cannot open or close properly.
- Drying enters fault mode: the AMS status LED turns red (breathing effect), heating stops, and the fan keeps running continuously.
¶ Troubleshooting
¶ Replace the Vent Assembly:

¶ Replace the Vent Cable:
- Remove the old cable:
Unplug the cable connectors from both the vent and the AMS power board. Carefully remove the old cable along the original routing path. - Install the new cable:
Route the new cable through the original channel. Connect one end to the vent connector.
Then connect the other end to the corresponding port on the AMS power board. Make sure the connector is properly aligned before inserting it. Gently push it in until it is securely connected.
- Calibration and Testing:
Turn on the device and run a filament loading test. If the vent operates normally and no error is displayed, the cable replacement is successful.
