During the extruder switching process, the extruder switching motor position hall sensor (used to detect the switching motor position) may malfunction, leading to switching failure.
As shown in the following diagram, the sensor is installed on the extruder switching motor position hall effect sensor located at the upper part of the quick change tool interface, and is connected to the extruder hall sensor board together with the left and right extruder idlers hall effect sensor through the position hall conncector, and then connected to the TH board.
Possible causes include:
The extruder switching motor position hall sensor is defective.
The TH board is defective.
The extruder hall sensor board connector is damaged or short-circuited.
Other hall sensors are defective.
The left driven rod hall effect sensor is defective.
The right driven rod hall effect sensor is defective.
The lifting motor position hall effect sensor is abnormal.

Before disassembling the toolhead, ensure the printer is powered off.
If replacing the TH board, extruder hall sensor board, extruder switching hall sensor, or lifting motor hall sensor, perform toolhead switch calibration after toolhead assembly.

Users may adjust the order of these solutions as needed.
Refer to Steps 1~4 in the Wiki Disassemble the H2D toolhead to expose the TH connection board.
The peripheral power supply powers all hall sensors. The peripheral power indicator (referred to as the indicator) is located at the lower part of the TH board and indicates the status of the peripheral power. Normally, the indicator remains lit.
Power on the printer
Check the status of the indicator
If the indicator is lit, the peripheral power supply is normal, but the position hall sensor of the extruder lifting motor is malfunctioning and needs replacement. Proceed to Step 3.
If the indicator is off, the peripheral power supply is abnormal. Any hall sensor or the TH board in the peripheral power supply chain may malfunction. Proceed to Step 4.
Power off the printer.
Disconnect the position hall sensor wires of the lifting motor.
In the exposed state of the TH connection board, use tweezers to disconnect the position hall sensor wires of the lifting motor.
7 - Lifting motor position hall sensor connector 3 - Extruder hall sensor board connector
Power on the printer
Check the status of the indicator
If the indicator turns on, the hall sensor is abnormal. Refer to the Wiki Disassemble the H2D toolhead for replacing the lifting motor position hall sensor.
If the indicator remains off, proceed to Step 4.
If the indicator turns on, the extruder hall sensor board or its associated hall sensors are short-circuited. Proceed to Step 5 for further troubleshooting.
If the indicator remains off, refer to Steps 1~8 in the Wiki Disassemble the H2D toolhead to replace the TH board.
Disassemble the extruder front cover
Refer to the Wiki Disassemble and install the H2D extruder
Sequentially check for short circuits in the extruder switching motor position hall sensor, left filament hall and the right filament hall.
During the check, disconnect the specified hall sensor connector (printer powered off)
Observe if the indicator lights up (printer powered on)
If it lights up, the hall effect sensor is abnormal and needs replacement.
If it remains off, proceed to Step 5.
Refer to the Wiki Disassemble the H2D toolhead to disassemble the extruder assembly, remove the screws, and replace the extruder hall sensor board and connector.
If the above solutions do not resolve the issue, submit a ticket and upload the printer’s log files.
