The extruder switching mechanism includes: extruder switching motor, gears, cams, left and right switch idlers. During the extruder switching process, the switching motor is responsible for driving the switch idlers to swing left and right. During the process, if the swing resistance is too large, the switching will fail.
Possible causes:
Filament is stuck inside the extruder.
There is failed component or foreign objects stuck in the switching mechanism.
This picture shows how the extruder switches the direction. Please do not attempt this operation manually.

You can adjust the order of these solutions as needed.
Tap on the screen to select the left or right nozzle to see if the extruder switches normally.
If the extruder switches normally, then the troubleshooting finishes. If not, please go to step 2.
Refer to steps 1-5 in How to Disassemble and Assemble H2D Extruder to expose the extruder switching mechanism.
Use diagonal cutting pliers or scissors to remove the filament inside the extruder.
The extruder switch drive gear and the switch cam are meshed through the gear. The switch cam is in contact with the rollers of the left and right driven extruder idlers. If there is foreign matter between the parts, please use tweezers or a brush to clean it. If the surface of the part is damaged, please replace it.

After installation, perform toolhead motor position calibration.
Perform step 1 and try switching the extruder. If the switch is successful and no alarm is generated, the troubleshooting is successful.
If the above solutions do not resolve the issue, submit a ticket and upload the printer’s log files.
